Chris Ross graduated from the University of Maryland with a B.S. in Finance. His career began in the marketing department of Dennis Conner Sports International, a sports marketing firm established by three time America’s Cup Skipper Dennis Conner. Chris then joined Arlen Marketing, a sports marketing company, which was joint-ventured with IMG (International Management Group) to generate licensing and sponsorship sales for the 1992 America’s Cup Organizing Committee.

Like his partners, his experience crosses multiple categories, from America3 Foundation, the historic All Women’s America’s Cup Team and licensees including Bausch & Lomb, Columbia Sportswear and Citizen Watch Company. His expertise allowed him to move to corporate trademark licensing at Equity Management Inc., working with General Motors, DuPont Teflon, Wells Fargo, Jack Daniel’s, Chiquita and Lockheed Martin Corporation.  

International experience is a vital part of our clients’ business, and for Chris it started at International Licensing Corporation, representing Hang Ten and Lightning Bolt in 79 countries, generating close to $1 billion in annually sales.

As a KKM partner, Chris is responsible for both Business Affairs and New Business development and leads the team responsible for being nominated in 2007, by LIMA, for best corporate licensing program of the year for The Weather Channel.

Chris is regarded as an industry expert and has been a featured speaker on behalf of the Licensing Industry Merchandising Association. He has given many seminars including “Valuing Licensing Properties.”
